Windows 11 has come with a lot of new design tweaks. One of the most eye-catching changes, however, has been the centering of the Windows taskbar.
While there have been mixed reviews about it, some people have taken a liking to it. A lot of people have also started wondering if they can implement the same changes in the Windows 10 taskbar.
Luckily, with a few tweaks here and there, they can. So without any further ado, let’s get down to centering your taskbar on Windows.
How to center your taskbar in Windows 10
Keep in mind that, when we say you can center your taskbar in Windows 10, what this means is that you’ll be able to have all your icons in the center, just like in Windows 11. However, this won’t move the start button at all; it’ll just stick to the default left side of your screen.
So to get started with centering your Windows 10 taskbar, follow the steps below:
- Take your cursor to empty space in your taskbar, right-click on it and select the Lock the taskbars options from the main menu.
- Now right-click on the taskbar again and select Toolbars > Links.
- Right-click on the Links option from your system tray, and select Show text and Show title from the menu.
- Now drag the Links icon to the left of the taskbar, right next to the Start button.
Doing this will bring the icon links right to the center in your taskbar. Now simply right-click on your taskbar again, select the Show text and Show title option to clean up your taskbar. Finally, right-click on the taskbar again, and select Lock all taskbars to fix things up in your taskbar.
Centering your taskbar in Windows 10
In this way, you can get the feel of Windows 11 on your old Windows 10 computer as well. While the change is nowhere near the real Windows 11 design, it does the job pretty well and it’s relatively hassle-free, so we probably can’t complain.
