According to the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, making updates on Microsoft Teams is about to get simpler. “Users will have a clear and transparent app update experience. Users will only need to approve an update once per app, and the new version will take effect seamlessly in all their chats, channels, and meetings,” says Microsoft.

Generally, Microsoft Teams updates itself automatically to the latest version. While this is quite convenient and requires little input from the user, there are some instances when these updates fail to roll out automatically. In turn, the user will be required to install updates manually which at times takes up quite a bit of time because the process is tedious.

Microsoft did not provide extensive details concerning this particular change, only that it is expected to roll out this month and that it will affect Teams users on Windows, Mac, Android, iOS, and the web.

We will be sure to keep tabs on this story as it unfolds and keep you posted, but in the meantime be sure to check out our post that highlights all the new features that were added to Microsoft Teams in the month of August and September. Share your thoughts with us by dropping a comment below.
