Microsoft has announced that it is set to launch a new feature, the OneNote viewer. This feature will let users view their OneNote notebooks within Teams mobile apps on Android and iOS. This will cancel out the unnecessary navigation between apps when you want to view a shared document sent to you via Microsoft Teams.

According to the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, the feature tagged 103097 will however only let you view and scroll through the document. Therefore, if you are collaborating on a project and want to make edits to the notebooks, you will be directed to the standalone OneNote mobile app.

“The experience will be available as part of the Teams mobile apps on Android and iOS (including iPads) starting with English language users, followed by international languages,” says Microsoft.

The feature is expected to start rolling out in early December 2022 and hit general availability towards the end of January 2023.  In other related news, Microsoft recently incorporate a sign language view into Teams in a bid to create “a best-in-class experience” for users with hearing impairment.
