Forza Community Hub update suggests Forza Motorsport still on track for a 2023 release

It’s been awhile since we’ve heard any new from the upcoming Forza Motorsport series reboot. One of the BIG Xbox titles on the horizon, Forza Motorsport was supposed to have been a “spring 2023” release. Alas, that is clearly not going to happen, and as of right now the game still does not have a release date.

Forza Motorsport fans shouldn’t despair, however. In the latest Forza Community Hub update, the team addressed the state of Forza Motorsport. According to the blog post: “We’re focused on polishing and preparing Forza Motorsport for release later this year.”

It’s assuring news to say the least for speed freaks looking to take to the track in the next evolution in the popular racing sim series. While the Forza Horizon open-world simcade spinoff has been moving right along steadily, we haven’t seen a new Forza Motorsport entry in nearly six years since 2017’s Forza Motorsport 7 (which has since been delisted from digital storefronts due to licensing issues).

Fans got their most recent look at Forza Motorsport back in January during the Xbox & Bethesda Developer_Direct showcase. This year’s Xbox Summer Showcase is set to stream on June 11th, along with the special Starfield showcase slated for the same date. It wouldn’t be too surprising if we finally get a Forza Motorsport release date then.
